<span class="command"><strong>aptitude</strong></span> vám umožňuje pracovat najednou s několika
<span class="quote">„<span class="quote">pohledy</span>“</span>. <span class="quote">„<span class="quote">Pohled</span>“</span> (někdy též nazývaný
<span class="quote">„<span class="quote">obrazovka</span>“</span> je jednoduše něco, co se může zobrazit
v oblasti pod menu. Nejčastějším pohledem bývá seznam balíků, ale
četné jsou také např. pohledy na stahování.

Je-li zároveň otevřeno několik pohledů, objeví se nahoře na obrazovce
nový pruh zobrazující všechny otevřené pohledy. Například pokud se
v seznamu balíků rozhodnu prozkoumat balík
<code class="systemitem">apt</code> (klávesou <span class="keycap"><strong>Enter</strong></span>) a poté
ještě balík <code class="systemitem">libc6</code>, bude obrazovka vypadat
nějak takto:

Mezi pohledy se můžete přepínat příkazy <span class="guimenu">Pohledy</span> → <span class="guimenuitem">Další</span> (<span class="shortcut"><strong><span class="keycap"><strong>F6</strong></span></strong></span>) a <span class="guimenu">Pohledy</span> → <span class="guimenuitem">Předchozí</span> (<span class="shortcut"><strong><span class="keycap"><strong>F7</strong></span></strong></span>),
nebo také kliknutím na název pohledu nahoře na obrazovce. Jejich
seznam naleznete také v menu Pohledy. Aktuální pohled můžete zavřít
příkazem <span class="guimenu">Pohledy</span> → <span class="guimenuitem">Zavřít</span> (<span class="shortcut"><strong><span class="keycap"><strong>q</strong></span></strong></span>).

Jak je vidět výše, některé příkazy (například zobrazení informací
o balíku) vytváří nové pohledy automaticky. Chcete-li explicitně
vytvořit nový pohled, můžete použít příkaz <span class="guimenu">Pohledy</span> → <span class="guimenuitem">Nový pohled na balíky</span> nebo
<span class="guimenu">Pohledy</span> → <span class="guimenuitem">Nový prohlížeč kategorií</span>.
