a nejběžnější cesta k instalaci <span class="command"><strong>aptitude</strong></span>.

měli pokusit pouze pokud nejsou binární balíky dostupné, nebo pokud
máte neobvyklé požadavky, které binární balíky nesplňují.

Používáte-li systém Debian, spusťte pod uživatelem <code class="systemitem">root</code> následující
příkaz: <strong class="userinput"><code>apt-get install aptitude</code></strong>. V ostatních
případě se po předpřipravené <span class="command"><strong>aptitude</strong></span> poohlédněte u svého
dodavatele.
