<span class="command"><strong>aptitude</strong></span> vous permet de travailler avec plusieurs <span class="quote">« <span class="quote">vues</span> »</span> à la
fois. Une <span class="quote">« <span class="quote">vue</span> »</span> (parfois appelée <span class="quote">« <span class="quote">écran</span> »</span>) est
simplement quelque chose qui apparaît dans une zone de l'écran en dessous de
la barre de menu. La vue la plus courante est la liste des paquets, la vue
des téléchargements est aussi assez courante.

Quand plusieurs vues sont ouvertes en même temps, une barre listant
l'ensemble des vues actives apparaît en haut de l'écran. Par exemple, si on
examine <code class="systemitem">apt</code> en appuyant sur
<span class="keycap"><strong>entrée</strong></span>, puis qu'on examine <code class="systemitem">libc6</code>,
l'écran ressemblera à ceci :

Vous pouvez fermer la vue courante avec <span class="guimenu">Vues</span> → <span class="guimenuitem">Fermer</span> (<span class="shortcut"><strong><span class="keycap"><strong>q</strong></span></strong></span>). Pour atteindre les
vues précédentes et suivantes, utilisez <span class="guimenu">Vues</span> → <span class="guimenuitem">Suivant</span> (<span class="shortcut"><strong><span class="keycap"><strong>F6</strong></span></strong></span>) et <span class="guimenu">Vues</span> → <span class="guimenuitem">Précédent</span> (<span class="shortcut"><strong><span class="keycap"><strong>F7</strong></span></strong></span>) ou
cliquez sur le nom de la vue en haut de l'écran. Vous pouvez aussi trouver
une liste de toutes les vues actives dans le menu Vues.

Comme ci-dessus, certaines commandes (par exemple, voir les informations
d'un paquet) vont créer automatiquement de nouvelles vues. Vous pouvez aussi
demander la création d'une nouvelle vue avec <span class="guimenu">Vues</span> → <span class="guimenuitem">Nouvelle vue des
paquets</span> ou <span class="guimenu">Vues</span> → <span class="guimenuitem">Consultation par
catégories</span>.
