#!N #!Rdxmess DXMessage #!N #!N
Function #!N #!N Presents a message to the user. #!N #!N
Syntax #!N #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* #include <dx/dx.h> void DXMessage(char *message, ...) #!EF #!N
#!N Functional Details #!N #!N The message string should not contain
newline characters, because the #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* DXMessage #!EF routine formats the message
in a manner appropriate to the output medium. For terminal output,
this includes prefixing the message with the processor identifier and appending
a newline. The #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* message #!EF may be a #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* printf
#!EF form string, in which case additional arguments may be necessary.
#!N #!N You can also invoke standard error messages by specifying
#!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* message #!EF as #!CForestGreen #!N #!N #!F-adobe-courier-bold-r-normal--18* #!N "#number" #!EF
#!N #!N #!EC where number identifies a message in the file
/usr/lpp/dx/messages. Note that many of the messages require one or more
arguments. Note: In combination with two other library routines, #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* DXMessage
#!EF can be used to form "long" messages. For details, see
#!Ldxblm,dxall1175 h DXBeginLongMessage, DXEndLongMessage #!EL . #!N #!N Return Value #!N #!N None. #!N #!N
