#!Rall19 AutoAxes Configuration #!N #!EC #!N #!N The #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* AutoAxes Configuration
#!EF dialog box allows you to generate a set of axes
for an object in the Image window and to specify some
of its characteristics. #!N #!I0 #!N #!F-adobe-times-medium-r-normal--18* #!N #!N #!I30 #!N
1. Click on #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Options #!EF in the menu bar of
the Image window and then select #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* AutoAxes #!EF in the
pull-down menu. The #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* AutoAxes Configuration #!EF dialog box appears. Note:
To display additional options, click on the #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Expand #!EF button
at the bottom of the dialog box. For purposes of this
tutorial, you will not be changing any #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* AutoAxes #!EF options.
For more information, see #!Lautoaxe,dxall770 h AutoAxes #!EL in IBM Visualization Data Explorer User's
Reference. #!N #!I30 #!N 2. Click on the #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Enabled #!EF
toggle button (at the top of the dialog box) to select
the AutoAxes option. The button is now activated. #!N #!I30 #!N
3. Click on #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* OK #!EF or #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Apply #!EF at
the bottom of the dialog box to confirm the selection. #!N
#!N #!I0 #!N Notes: #!N #!I30 #!N a. #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* OK #!EF
closes the dialog box; #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Apply #!EF does not. #!N #!I30
#!N b. Selection of #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Enabled #!EF and #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* OK #!EF
or #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Apply #!EF is necessary but not sufficient to activate
the AutoAxes option (see next step). #!I0 #!N #!N #!N #!I30
#!N 4. Select #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Execute #!EF in the menu bar and
then #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Execute Once #!EF in the pull-down menu. #!N #!N
The object now appears in an axes box. Because the view
is "head on," the box appears to be 2-dimensional. For #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*
Diagonal #!EF or any of the "Off" views, however, it appears
fully 3-dimensional (see next step). #!N #!I30 #!N 5. To change
the view of the object, select another (e.g., #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Diagonal #!EF
) from the #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Set View #!EF pull-down list in the
#!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* View Control... #!EF dialog box. The view changes to #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*
Diagonal #!EF (note that the axes box changes as well). #!N
#!I30 #!N 6. To remove the axes box from the window:
#!N #!I0 #!N #!F-adobe-times-medium-r-normal--18* #!N #!N #!I30 #!N a. Deactivate the
#!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Enabled #!EF toggle button in the #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* AutoAxes Configuration #!EF
dialog box by clicking on it. #!N #!I30 #!N b. Click
on #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* OK #!EF or #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Apply #!EF . #!N #!I30
#!N c. Again, execute the program (unless it is already in
#!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Execute on Change #!EF mode). The axes box disappears. #!N
#!I30 #!N d. To restore the original view of the object,
click on #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Reset #!EF in the #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* View Control #!EF
dialog box #!N #!I0 #!N #!EF #!N #!N #!I30 #!N 7.
Close the #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* View Control #!EF dialog box (by clicking on
#!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Close #!EF ) and the #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* AutoAxes Configuration #!EF dialog
box (by clicking on #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Cancel #!EF ). #!N #!I0 #!N
