Object #!N #!EC #!N #!N To rotate the object you are
viewing: #!N #!I0 #!N #!F-adobe-times-medium-r-normal--18* #!N #!N #!I30 #!N 1. Select
#!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Rotate #!EF from the #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Mode #!EF pull-down box or
use the #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Ctrl+R #!EF accelerator key. #!N #!I30 #!N 2.
A set of 3-D axes appears in the lower right corner
of the Image window. Also, if you have enabled the #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18*
Display Rotation Globe #!EF option (in the #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Options #!EF pull-down
menu), or you do so now, a wire-frame globe appears in
the lower left corner. If you press the #!F-adobe-times-medium-i-normal--18* right #!EF
mouse button, you can drag the mouse to rotate the object
clockwise (CW) and counter-clockwise (CCW), with the image center as the
point of rotation. If you press the #!F-adobe-times-medium-i-normal--18* left #!EF or
#!F-adobe-times-medium-i-normal--18* center #!EF mouse button, you can use the mouse as
a track ball and rotate the object in all three dimensions.
The mode of rotation is determined by the mouse button you
use. #!N #!N As you rotate the object, the set of
axes and the wire-framed globe (if enabled) also rotate, providing instant
feedback to your actions. #!N Note: If you do not have
#!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Execute on Change #!EF enabled, only the set of axes
and the globe are updated as you move the mouse, providing
preliminary feedback to your rotation actions. If #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Execute on Change
#!EF is enabled, then the object rotates as you move the
mouse. #!N #!N #!I30 #!N 3. When you release the mouse
button, the object is rotated according to the new position of
the axes and globe. Note: You can also enable #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Rotate
#!EF mode by using the #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* intrctnMode #!EF parameter to the
Image tool (see Image in IBM Visualization Data Explorer User's Reference).
#!N #!I0 #!N #!EF #!N #!N #!N The point around which
the object rotates is the look-to point, which you can change
by selecting #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Roam #!EF (see #!Lroam,dxall307 h Changing the Look-to Point #!EL ). Alternatively, you can
select #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Pan/Zoom #!EF in the #!F-adobe-times-bold-r-normal--18* Mode #!EF pull-down menu
(see #!Lzooming,dxall306 h Zooming into and out of the Image #!EL ). #!N #!N #!N #!F-adobe-times-medium-i-normal--18* Next Topic #!EF #!N
