"colors," "front colors," or "back colors" component. Many modules add a 
default color. In addition, volume rendering (i.e., of cubes or tetrahedra) 
requires an "opacities" component. For surfaces, the lack of an "opacities"

24-bit images if the DXPIXELTYPE environment variable is set to DXByte

use the Display or Image tool rather than the Render module,

is generally preferable to use one of these tools unless you 
want to operate on the image itself. For example, filtering the
