  <title>Lancement d'applications</title>

  <p if:test="!platform:gnome-classic">Move your mouse pointer to the
  <gui>Activities</gui> corner at the top left of the screen to show the
  <gui xref="shell-terminology">Activities</gui> overview. This is where you
  can find all of your applications. You can also open the overview by pressing
  the <key xref="keyboard-key-super">Super</key> key.</p>
  
  <p if:test="platform:gnome-classic">Vous pouvez lancer des applications à partir du <link xref="shell-terminology"> menu <gui>Applications</gui></link> en haut à gauche de l'écran, ou à partir de la vue d'ensemble des <gui>Activités</gui> en appuyant sur la touche <link xref="windows-key">Logo</link>.</p>

  <p>Il existe plusieurs manières d'ouvrir une application une fois que vous êtes dans la vue d'ensemble des <gui>Activités</gui> :</p>

      <p>Commencez à saisir le nom d'une application - la recherche commence aussitôt (si cela ne se produit pas, cliquez sur la barre de recherche en haut à droite de l'écran et commencez à saisir). Cliquez l'icône de l'application pour la lancer.</p>

      <p>Certaines applications possèdent des icônes sur le <em>dash</em>, la bande verticale d'icônes sur le côté gauche de la vue d'ensemble des <gui>Activités</gui>. Cliquez sur l'une d'elles pour lancer l'application correspondante.</p>
      <p>S'il y a des applications que vous utilisez très fréquemment, vous pouvez <link xref="shell-apps-favorites">les ajouter au dash</link> vous-même.</p>

      <p>En cliquant sur le bouton en forme de grille au bas du dash, vous verrez s'afficher les applications les plus souvent utilisées. Si vous souhaitez en lancer une nouvelle, appuyez sur le bouton <gui style="button">Toutes</gui> en bas pour les afficher. Cliquez sur celle que vous voulez ouvrir.</p>

      <p>You can launch an application in a separate
      <link xref="shell-workspaces">workspace</link> by dragging its icon from
      the dash, and dropping it onto one of the workspaces on the right-hand
      side of the screen. The application will open in the chosen
      workspace.</p>
      <p>You can launch an application in a <em>new</em> workspace by dragging
      its icon to the empty workspace at the bottom of the workspace
      switcher, or to the small gap between two workspaces.</p>

    <p>Une autre façon de lancer une application est d'appuyer sur <keyseq><key>Alt</key><key>F2</key></keyseq>, de saisir son <em>nom de commande</em> puis d'appuyer sur <key>Entrée</key>.</p>
    <p>For example, to launch <app>Rhythmbox</app>, press
    <keyseq><key>Alt</key><key>F2</key></keyseq> and type
    '<cmd>rhythmbox</cmd>' (without the single-quotes). The name of the app is
    the command to launch the program.</p>
