  <title>ゴミ箱の中身や一時ファイルを削除する</title>

  <p>ゴミ箱や一時ファイルを片付けることで、不要なファイルを削除したり、ディスクスペースに空きを作ったりできます。ゴミ箱の中身や一時ファイルの削除は手動で行うことができますが、自動で行うように設定することもできます。</p>

  <steps>
    <title>一定期間が経過したら自動的にゴミ箱の中身や一時ファイルを削除するための設定手順は次のとおりです。</title>
    <item>
      <p>Open the <gui xref="shell-terminology">Activities</gui> overview and
      start typing <gui>Privacy</gui>.</p>
    </item>
    <item>
      <p>Click on <gui>Privacy</gui> to open the panel.</p>
    </item>
    <item>
      <p><gui>ゴミ箱と一時ファイルの削除</gui>を選択します。</p>
    </item>
    <item>
      <p>Set one or both of the <gui>Automatically empty Trash</gui> or
      <gui>Automatically purge Temporary Files</gui> switches to
      <gui>ON</gui>.</p>

    <item>
      <p><em>ゴミ箱</em>や<em>一時ファイル</em>の削除する頻度を設定するには、<gui>次の時間経過後に削除する</gui>の値を変更します。</p>

      <p>Use the <gui>Empty Trash</gui> or <gui>Purge Temporary Files</gui>
      buttons to perform these actions immediately.</p>

      <p>Click the <gui>X</gui> to close.</p>

    <p>削除するタイミングとして、<em>すぐに</em>を指定する場合は、次の点については注意してください。すぐにゴミ箱を空にするよう設定した場合は、削除したファイルはゴミ箱をスキップして完全に抹消されます。抹消してしまったファイルを復旧させるのは、ゴミ箱にあるファイルに比べて非常に困難です。</p>

    <p>すぐにゴミ箱を空にする必要が特になければ、<gui>次の時間経過後に削除する</gui>の値を長めに設定しておくと、より安全になるでしょう。</p>
