  <title>Control sharing over Bluetooth</title>

  <p>You can configure <gui>Bluetooth Sharing</gui> to control access to your
  <file>Downloads</file> folder for Bluetooth file sharing, and also restrict
  that access to only <em>trusted devices</em>.  Trusted devices are ones which
  you have <link xref="bluetooth-connect-device">paired</link> to your computer
  before.</p>

    <p>You must have the <app>GNOME User Share</app> package installed for
    <gui>Bluetooth Sharing</gui> to be visible.</p>

  <steps>
    <title>Allow files to be shared into your <file>Downloads</file> folder</title>
    <item>
      <p>Open the <gui xref="shell-terminology">Activities</gui> overview and
      start typing <gui>Sharing</gui>.</p>
    </item>
    <item>
      <p>Click on <gui>Sharing</gui> to open the panel.</p>
    </item>
    <item>
      <p>If <gui>Sharing</gui> is <gui>OFF</gui>, switch it to
      <gui>ON</gui>.</p>
    </item>
    <item>
      <p>Select <gui>Bluetooth Sharing</gui>.</p>
    </item>
    <item>
      <p>Switch <gui>Save Received Files to Downloads Folder</gui> to
      <gui>ON</gui>.</p>
    </item>
    <item>
      <p>If you only want to allow trusted devices to access your
      <file>Downloads</file> folder, switch
      <gui>Only Receive From Trusted Devices</gui> to <gui>ON</gui>.</p>

      <note style="tip">
        <p>This option is disabled by default. You should enable it if you want
        to prevent access to your shared files by anyone with a
        Bluetooth-enabled cell phone or similar device nearby.</p>

      <p>Click <gui style="button">Close</gui>. Bluetooth-enabled devices will
      now be able to send files to your <file>Downloads</file> folder.</p>

    <p>You can <link xref="sharing-displayname">change</link> the name your
    computer displays to other devices.</p>

  <p><app>Files</app> allows you to launch the <gui>Sharing</gui> panel
  directly by clicking the <gui>Preferences</gui> button when you visit the
  <file>Downloads</file> folder.</p>
