This module contains a bare minimum of functionality to do TCP/IP programming.  This module is implemented on top of the <tt>Socket</tt> module of the <a href="BasisLibrary">Basis Library</a>.  We encourage you to use the standard <tt>Socket</tt> module, since <tt>MLton.Socket</tt> is deprecated.
