<p>vips_tonelut() generates a tone curve for the adjustment of image
levels. It is mostly designed for adjusting the L* part of a LAB image in
a way suitable for print work, but you can use it for other things too.</p>

to not set the DC pixel. </p>
<p>Set <em class="parameter"><code>optical</code></em>
to position the DC component in the centre of the image. This
makes the mask suitable for multiplying against optical Fourier transforms.

to invert the sense of
