<title>Modems</title>
<p>After starting <app>Modem Manager GUI</app>, the following window will be displayed:</p>

<p>You can see the modem devices available on your system. Click on one of the entries
to use that device.</p>
<p>After clicking on a device, it might be needed to activate it first, if it was not
otherwise activated on your system. <app>Modem Manager GUI</app> will ask you for
confirmation in that case.</p>
<p>Be patient after connecting a removable device such as an USB stick or PCMCIA card.
It may take a while until the system detects it.</p>
<note style="hint">
<p>You cannot use multiple modems at the same time. If you click on another entry in the
device list, the previously activated one will be disabled.</p>
