               writes them out as a single multi-extension FITS file.

                     in3=data.fits icmd3='every 1000; head 100'

            <dd>Writes three hundred-row tables as separate TABLE elements in
               a single output VOTable document.
               Each of the output tables is a sample from the same input table,
               but sampled differently; the first is every tenth row, the second
               every hundredth, and the third every thousandth.
