<h4 class="subsection">14.7.1 <code>@TeX</code>{} (TeX) and <code>@LaTeX</code>{} (LaTeX)</h4>

<p><a name="index-TeX-833"></a><a name="index-LaTeX-834"></a><a name="index-Logos_002c-_0040TeX_007b_007d-835"></a><a name="index-g_t_0040TeX_007b_007d-logo-836"></a><a name="index-g_t_0040LaTeX_007b_007d-logo-837"></a>
Use the <code>@TeX{}</code> command to generate `TeX'. In a printed
manual, this is a special logo that is different from three ordinary
letters. In Info, it just looks like &lsquo;<samp><span class="samp">TeX</span></samp>&rsquo;.

<p>Similarly, use the <code>@LaTeX{}</code> command to generate `LaTeX',
which is even more special in printed manuals (and different from the
incorrect <code>La@TeX{}</code>. In Info, the result is just
&lsquo;<samp><span class="samp">LaTeX</span></samp>&rsquo;. (LaTeX is another macro package built on top of
TeX, very loosely analogous to Texinfo in that it emphasizes
logical structure, but much (much) larger.)

<p>The spelling of these commands are unusual among Texinfo commands in
that they use both uppercase and lowercase letters.
