<H2><A NAME="install-os2-requires">Required files</A></H2>
<P> The default configuration files are precompiled into
<TT>fte-def.cnf</TT>. This file should be copied to <TT>fte.cnf</TT>
for text-mode version, and to <TT>ftepm.cnf</TT> for PM version. Or,
you may want to compile your own configuration from source using
<I>cfte</I> configuration file compiler.
<P> For minimal installation of the text mode version, only
<TT>fte.exe</TT> and <TT>fte.cnf</TT> are required. For PM clipboard
support <TT>clipserv.EXE</TT> is needed and must be running whenever
you wish to use PM clipboard from FTE.
<P> To install PM version, <TT>ftepm.exe</TT> and <TT>ftepm.cnf</TT>
are needed.
<P> To recompile source files, <TT>cfte.exe</TT> and
<TT>config\*.fte</TT> files are needed. <P>
<P> Place executable files somewhere on your <B>PATH</B>. Compiled
configuration files should be located in the same directory as
executable and have the same basename with extension <TT>.CNF</TT>.
