<h4 class="subsection">3.9.3 <code>prt</code> output format</h4>

<p>The output format is fixed, though parts of the output can be omitted.
</p>
<ol>
<li> The header

<ul>
<li> Newline
  </li><li> <small>SCCS</small> file name, followed by a colon
  </li><li> Two further newlines.
  </li></ul>

</li><li> Delta table information (for <samp>-d</samp>, <samp>-e</samp>, also the default,
  but not if <samp>-b</samp>, <samp>-f</samp>, <samp>-t</samp>, <samp>-u</samp> are specified).
  This section is printed once for each selected delta.

<p>This begins with a newline as a separator (except when a cutoff is
  being used, in which case the <small>SCCS</small> file name is used, followed by
  a colon and a TAB character).
</p>
<ul>
<li> Delta type <br>
        &rsquo;R&rsquo; for removed deltas (see <a href="rmdel.html#rmdel">rmdel</a>), and &rsquo;D&rsquo; for ordinary ones.

</li><li> TAB

</li><li> Delta creation time (YY/MM/DD hh:mm:ss)

</li><li> The login name of the user who created this delta

</li><li> Sequence number of this delta

</li><li> Sequence number of the previous delta

</li><li> Line statistics &lsquo;<samp>inserted/deleted/unchanged</samp>&rsquo;.  These
  statistics are capped at 99999, due to a limitation in the file
  format.

</li><li> Delta detail information <br>
  This section is printed once for each selected delta, unless the
  <samp>-s</samp> option has been specified.

<li> Included deltas
  </li><li> Excluded deltas
  </li><li> Ignored deltas

  </li><li> Delta comments

</li><li> Global information <br>
Once information has been printed for each of the selected deltas, the
global information is printed.   This consists of

<ul>
<li> List of authorised users and group IDs (if the list is blank,
        &lsquo;<samp>everyone</samp>&rsquo; is printed)
  </li><li> The <small>SCCS</small> file flags (see <a href="Flags.html#Flags">Flags</a>) are printed.
  </li><li> The description of the <small>SCCS</small> file is printed (this
        is the description set by the <samp>-t</samp> option of <code>admin</code>).
  </li><li> The body of the <small>SCCS</small> file is printed, in a readable format.
        The control character &lsquo;<samp>^A</samp>&rsquo; that begins some lines is
        printed as &lsquo;<samp>*** </samp>&rsquo;, and other lines are printed indented
        by one tab stop.  Other than that, the body is printed as found
        in the <small>SCCS</small> file.  This means that binary files are left
        encoded.
